Done with this place! Couldn't find a clean table in the place. Some of the seats have huge rips in them and the patio furniture was dirty and broken. Wilted black lettuce on the salads and not much chicken on the salad either. Great location I hope they put in something good when this place goes under.

You order, take a number, sit, and wait for your food. They have a variety of items from soups, salads, sandwiches, etc. which most are fresh and healthy. I ordered the chicken southwest salad which was really good, came out within 2 minutes of sitting down. My co-worker ordered the potato soup (good but too rich), a turkey Reuben (yum), and kettle chips. Nice service, nice facility, great food at decent prices.

The salads are good. My issue is with hygiene. Here is what we witnessed just in the short time we were here for lunch... The cashier, who obviously handles money, picked up our cups by reaching inside them. Gross! Another worker grabbed a customer's cookie by setting down the tissue paper on the counter and picking it up with her hand to sit it on the paper. Again, gross! Same person came over to replenish lemon slices, dropped two on the counter, picked them up with her hands and added them to the container for customer use. I went to the counter to ask for two knives and another cashier handed me one which was dirty, dropped the other one and picked that up and handed it to me. Needless to say, I gave them both back and won't be in a hurry to return.

If you want a quick lunch somewhat on the healthy side their salad and half a sandwich is great. They are chain restaurant. Place is clean easy to get in and out.

We had a family member in the nearby hospital for an extended time, and didn't want cafeteria food again, so we tried Crispers. We had a variety of sandwiches, salads and soups, to go, so we could eat together in the hospital. We walked in to a mostly empty restaurant at around 6:30 in the evening and waited maybe 6-7 minutes for someone to appear and take our order, and another 12-15 for it to be prepared. While the food was generally ok, the problem was the carelessness with which our order was filled. I chose to spend 1.49 to upgrade my chips to a side salad - get to the hospital, and see they didn't include dressing. My (overly picky) son asks for his sandwich on white bread, and was told it comes on a white roll. He later opens his sandwich on a dry multigrain roll. If the mayo he asked for was on the sandwich, it was a molecular thin layer. My daughter enjoyed her squash soup, but the saltines they gave her were stale like cardboard. And for drinks, Pepsi products. Damn. So in summary, slow service + ok food + careless order fulfillment for a to go order + Pepsi = a disappointing "Meh".

Never been there. Wife went there often for lunch when she worked in town, and really liked it. Now, she's back in town and went there and was very disappointed. She said that the service, quality, and quantity had all decreased. I also remember her mentioning the absence of the highly advertised black bean soup, even in the past. Too bad. You can't rest on your laurels.

This is my second time here. The last time was almost two years ago to the day. It was my dad's favorite place in St. Augustine until he abruptly proclaimed he would not be back today. The ordering process was very frustrating. He also learned they no longer have black bean soup. The sole reason he came today was to get the black bean soup. This pushed him over the edge. The service was pretty atrocious and the ordering system needs a lot of work. The poor cashier was either clueless or poorly trained or both. Now the line is 11 deep at the regular line as we await our take out. We received our take out from a courteous young lady and the most professional one of the bunch. I regret not getting her name to give this place the only credit it is due. We brought the food back to the house about ten minutes away. Dad insisted on not checking our order as we left as he was very frustrated and just wanted to leave. My gyro was not in the bag. The ticket even showed it was not on there so it was the cashier's fault. The chicken pecan salad was very small and in a tiny black take out container and did not look appetizing. My dad had the citrus chicken wrap and I tried some of it and I did not like it. My dad says, "it was good." Either way I didn't get the main item on my order. The loaded potato soup was not loaded with anything. If they did it was pre-mixed. It was good, but could have been much better. Honestly the place did not deserve even one star today. If I could bury this place under zero stars that is where they would be. It's very expensive for what you get and the service was awful. I started to feel bad for the people standing in line endlessly waiting to place an order. There was absolutely nothing of note in the food.

Kicking Crab Soup and Super Salad with the Jalapeno Dressing (not the cloyingly sweet dressing that comes with it) Amazing!!!!!!

I've heard many reviews on Crispers, mostly good, and on a recent lunch outing, decided to stop in and check it out for myself. Overall, had a pretty great experience from start to finish. First thing I noticed upon walking in, there are two different areas for ordering. One line for those who are dining in, and another area to place to go orders, and you can also pick up orders you've called in. Smart thinking. There was a stand in front of me filled with menus, so I picked one up and flipped through to find quite a selection of sandwiches, flatbreads, salads, and more. I was getting my order to go, so I went to the correct line and ordered an asiago beef sandwich, which came with chips, and I also ordered a bottled soda. Upon placing my order, I used the restroom (which were unbelievably clean, and quite possibly the best smelling public restroom I've ever used) and sat at a table. While seated, I noticed that the workers actually brought the food to you, which is a nice touch. The restaurant was clean, well laid-out, with LOTS of tables to sit at, including outside. I received my food in about five minutes, and was on my way. I got home and tore into the deliciousness that is a Crispers sandwich. It was THE BOMB. Hot, delicious beef topped with melted, gooey cheese, covered in some type of spicy special sauce with fresh veggies. YUM. Also got a pickle, and the chips were Boulder brand- organic kettle cooked chips which were GREAT. Overall, very pleased with the appearance and taste of the food, and also with the look and cleanliness of the restaurant itself. I will definitely be back for more. Only thing keeping this from being a five star sandwich shop is the price of the food- although not terrible, be prepared to spend about 10 bucks per person for a sandwich, chips, and a drink. Definitely worth it, however. Give it a whirl.

Went to Crispers several times while I was in St. Augustine/Palm coast for a month. Greatly enjoyed the Thai Chicken flat bread with the dipping sauce, and had their broccoli cheddar soup. Delicious combo! I really recommend getting that as a combination and you won't be disappointed! Cute place, reminded me of a Panera Bread.

The food here is delicious with generous portions. Tried the flatbreads, salads, and sandwiches and everything was great. Always come here every time we visit St Augustine and it is consistently good.

Ok why did I even bother to go in here. I'm sorry and I don't like not giving a good review but for me it was like cardboard with very little taste.

OK, I've tried this place three times. The last two have left (literally) a bad taste in my mouth. I went there at the end of lunch hour during the week. You would think that coffee would be ready and available to the diners at such a busy time, right? Wrong. After placing my order, I had to wait for them to brew and fill the coffee urn once I found it empty at the beginning of my meal. So, I ate 90% of the meal with no drink. I finally found a server staggering around looking non-busy. I asked for some coffee and the gelato I had ordered for dessert. After saying "Sure", and walking towards the ice cream area, she abruptly left, came back about 5 min later and proceeded to make a grand effort at replacing the coffee urn. Never mentioned "Here's your coffee. Can I get you some coffee, etc." Finally what looked like a manager-type, who was sitting down eating lunch, got up and walked over to the ice cream area and asked which gelato I would like. Anyway, COME ON, PEOPLE!! You take self- service to a whole new level. You have to walk around begging a server or whomever to give you what you just paid for?!?!??! I gagged down a corned beef sandwich....if you can call it that. The meat was so rubbery and chewy, you couldn't tell if it had any taste to it at all. All this with no drink to wash down the gross taste. Just a coffee AFTER the meal, which I took with me, so I could get the heck out of there, and never return. Just about ANY fast food place is better than here, and less expensive. DON'T waste your time or money here.

Went looking for something on the healthier side away from the touristy historic St. Augustine area, and one of my coworkers mentioned Crispers. So a trio of us headed over to give it a whirl. Having never gone to a Crispers before, we noticed is the rather large number of choices on the menu. There were sections for soups, salads, flatbreads, flatbread salads, and sandwiches / wraps, and most of them could be half orders and paired up for different combos. It took a while to decide, but I ended up with a half signature summer salad, half rock shrimp flatbread, and a regular-sized crab chowder. Foodie Notes: Crab Chowder: thick and hearty, just wish I could taste more of the crab. I guess there was a hint of the crab somewhere in the soup, but the taste of pepper overwhelmed most of the ingredients. Signature Summer Salad: Fruits on greens, with some turkey on top. Very fresh tasting, and I would get this again. Rock Shrimp Flatbread: shrimp, goat cheese, some roasted veggies, and garlic spread on a flatbread. Couldn't really pick out individual tastes beyond the goat cheese, but overall it was decent. Probably would've been better had I eaten this first (while it was hot). Overall, fairly quick and fresh. I could see myself stopping in again for lunch when my body craves something healthier than Chick-fil-a or Zaxby's. As a sidenote, if we had used the map on yelp to guide our driving, we would've missed the restaurant by a long way; the address is 200 CBL DRIVE ST. AUGUSTINE, FL 32086, and it's in the Cobblestone Village shopping center off the 312 near the US 1 (and not at St. Augustine Beach off the A1A).
